Our story

A charioteer for the mind

In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna does not fight Arjuna’s battle for him. He becomes his saarthi — his charioteer — and helps him see clearly enough to act. That is the role we want this product to play: not a guru, not an oracle, just a steady companion that helps you think, and points you back to the teachings and the people who can truly guide you.

Why we built it

Every day, millions of people in India turn to satsang videos for help with very ordinary, very heavy things — exams, anger, a parent’s illness, a habit they can’t break, a loss they can’t accept. The answers exist, often in hours of recordings. But when the question is burning at 2 a.m., finding the right ten minutes is hard, and reading a long English article isn’t how most people want to ask.

Saarthi lets anyone ask in their own words — Hindi, English or Hinglish, typed or spoken — and get a clear, compassionate answer in seconds, grounded in what was actually taught, with a link to hear it from the source.

How it works

Saarthi indexes thousands of public Ekantik Vartalap Q&As by Shri Premanand Ji Maharaj and all 701 verses of the Bhagavad Gita. When you ask something, Claude (by Anthropic) checks the message for safety, finds the closest satsang answers and the verse that fits, and writes a reply that paraphrases and cites them. Every cited clip plays right on the page, starting at the moment the answer begins.

What we promise

  • Honesty. Saarthi always says it is an AI. It never speaks as Maharaj Ji or any teacher.
  • Attribution. Teachings are credited and linked to the original public videos.
  • Privacy. No accounts, no profiles, no ads. Your chat history lives in your browser.
  • Care. If someone is in crisis, Saarthi points them to real, human help first.

Independence

Saarthi is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shri Premanand Ji Maharaj, his ashram, or the Bhajan Marg channel. For personal guidance, please follow their official channel.

Who we are

Saarthi is built in India by Rahul Chandna. We’d love to hear how it helps you, and where it falls short.
