Raja Vidya Raja Guhya Yoga: The Royal Secret

अध्याय 9 — राजविद्याराजगुह्ययोग

The most confidential knowledge: God pervades everything, accepts even a leaf offered with love, and protects those devoted to him.

सबसे गोपनीय ज्ञान: भगवान सबमें व्याप्त हैं, प्रेम से अर्पित एक पत्ता भी स्वीकार करते हैं, और अपने भक्तों की रक्षा करते हैं।

  1. Verse 9.1इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे …Krishna tells Arjuna: because you do not find fault, I will now share the most secret knowledge, along with how to experience it. Knowing it, you will be freed from all that is harmful.
  2. Verse 9.2राजविद्या राजगुह्यं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् …This is the king of all knowledge and the king of all secrets — supremely pure, directly experienced, in line with dharma, joyful to practise and lasting forever.
  3. Verse 9.3अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परन्तप …People who have no faith in this path do not reach Krishna, and keep returning to the cycle of death and worldly life.

  5. Verse 9.5न च मत्स्थानि भूतानि पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम् …And yet, in another sense, beings do not rest in Him — see this divine mystery. Krishna sustains and creates all beings, yet His true self is not confined by them.
  6. Verse 9.6यथाऽऽकाशस्थितो नित्यं वायुः सर्वत्रगो महान् …Just as the mighty wind blows everywhere yet always stays within space, understand that all beings exist within Krishna in the same way.
  7. Verse 9.7सर्वभूतानि कौन्तेय प्रकृतिं यान्ति मामिकाम् …At the end of a cosmic cycle, all beings merge into Krishna's nature, and at the beginning of the next cycle He sends them out again.
  8. Verse 9.8प्रकृतिं स्वामवष्टभ्य विसृजामि पुनः पुनः …Using His own nature, Krishna brings forth this whole multitude of beings again and again; they are bound by the laws of nature.
  9. Verse 9.9न च मां तानि कर्माणि निबध्नन्ति धनञ्जय …These actions do not bind Krishna, because He remains detached, like someone sitting apart and unconcerned with the outcome.
  10. Verse 9.10मयाऽध्यक्षेण प्रकृतिः सूयते सचराचरम् …Under Krishna's watch, nature brings forth everything moving and unmoving. Because of this, the world keeps turning.
  11. Verse 9.11अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम् …Foolish people look down on Krishna when He appears in a human form, not knowing His higher nature as the great Lord of all beings.
  12. Verse 9.12मोघाशा मोघकर्माणो मोघज्ञाना विचेतसः …Those with a cruel, deluded nature have empty hopes, empty actions and empty knowledge; their minds are scattered and lost.
  13. Verse 9.13महात्मानस्तु मां पार्थ दैवीं प्रकृतिमाश्रिताः …But great souls, taking shelter in their divine nature, worship Krishna with an undistracted mind, knowing Him as the unchanging source of all beings.
  14. Verse 9.14सततं कीर्तयन्तो मां यतन्तश्च दृढव्रताः …Always singing His praises, striving with firm vows, bowing to Him with devotion, they worship Krishna while staying constantly connected.
  15. Verse 9.15ज्ञानयज्ञेन चाप्यन्ये यजन्तो मामुपासते …Others worship Krishna through the offering of knowledge — seeing Him as one, as distinct, or as present in countless forms facing every direction.
  16. Verse 9.16अहं क्रतुरहं यज्ञः स्वधाऽहमहमौषधम् …Krishna says: I am the ritual, I am the sacrifice, I am the offering to the ancestors, I am the healing herb, the sacred chant, the butter, the fire, and the act of offering.
  17. Verse 9.17पिताऽहमस्य जगतो माता धाता पितामहः …I am the father of this world, its mother, its sustainer and its grandfather. I am what is worth knowing, the purifier, the sacred Om, and the Vedas themselves.
  18. Verse 9.18गतिर्भर्ता प्रभुः साक्षी निवासः शरणं सुहृत् …I am the goal, the supporter, the master, the witness, the home, the refuge and the true friend. I am the beginning, the end and the foundation of all — the imperishable seed.
  19. Verse 9.19तपाम्यहमहं वर्षं निगृह्णाम्युत्सृजामि च …I give heat, I hold back and send down the rain. I am both immortality and death, both what exists and what does not.
  20. Verse 9.20त्रैविद्या मां सोमपाः पूतपापा …Those who follow Vedic rituals and pray for heaven reach the heavenly worlds as a result of their good deeds and enjoy divine pleasures there.
  21. Verse 9.21ते तं भुक्त्वा स्वर्गलोकं विशालं …After enjoying the vast heavenly world, when their merit runs out they return to the world of mortals. Those who act only for pleasures keep coming and going.

  26. Verse 9.26पत्रं पुष्पं फलं तोयं यो मे भक्त्या प्रयच्छति …Whoever offers Me with love a leaf, a flower, a fruit or a little water — that loving offering I accept.
  27. Verse 9.27यत्करोषि यदश्नासि यज्जुहोषि ददासि यत् …Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give, whatever discipline you practise — do it as an offering to Krishna.
  28. Verse 9.28शुभाशुभफलैरेवं मोक्ष्यसे कर्मबन्धनैः …Doing this, you will be freed from the bonds of action and their good and bad results. With your mind set on letting go, you will be free and come to Krishna.
  29. Verse 9.29समोऽहं सर्वभूतेषु न मे द्वेष्योऽस्ति न प्रियः …Krishna is equal to all beings; no one is hated by Him and no one is favoured. But those who worship Him with devotion are in Him, and He is in them.
  30. Verse 9.30अपि चेत्सुदुराचारो भजते मामनन्यभाक् …Even if a person of very wrong conduct worships Me with undivided devotion, they should be regarded as good, for they have resolved rightly.
  31. Verse 9.31क्षिप्रं भवति धर्मात्मा शश्वच्छान्तिं निगच्छति …Such a person quickly becomes righteous and finds lasting peace. Arjuna, declare it boldly: Krishna's devotee is never lost.
